modeling and fabrication service for luthiers

Modeling and fabrication services are for those who already have a complete design or a prototyped physical product in hand and need help bringing their projects to life.

Design and prototyping service is not yet available due to time constraint and unpredictability of prototyping costs. However, if you would like to design something, please feel free to reach out and ask questions about how to get started. I will gladly share any resources I am aware of. 

If you would like to have a tool designed, manufactured and made available for purchase by Chenly, please reach out and volunteer to be my guinea pig :) If the project is deemed a go, Chenly will bear the cost of R&D which includes design, modeling, raw materials, tooling, and prototyping. If the project made it to production, you will receive the tool at a discount as a thank you for your input.

Services: 

• Modeling: for those with a complete design or a prototyped/physical part and would like to own it in a digital format for personal or manufacturing use. It is a stand alone service. 
  • pricing: $45/hr, quantity of hours estimated up front.
• Fabrication: for those with a complete design or a prototyped/physical part and would like to have the parts manufactured. Modeling service included. 
  • pricing: cost of tooling + unit price, quoted up front. Please specify quantity to check if bulk discount is available.

Please do one of the following to receive a quote:

• email info@chenlytools.com a clean and complete print including all dimensions. The print can be hand drawn or digital, and must at the very least include front, top and side views. All special features must be clearly labeled. 
• mail a complete physical part to 3004 W 111th St, Chicago IL 60655. If you need it back, please include a prepaid return label.
